As far as the 70's all selling instead of the 69's that just proves the marginal value of a 70 is worth a cup of coffee these days.

You are exactly right, bronco. $3 will get you a good cup of coffee or an upgrade to MS70

That settles it. I'm going all in before the Millennials catch on and drive coin prices to unimaginable heights!

Sarcasm aside, I have already done that.

    Cheers

Well, I know you think it is crazy, but I have several MS69 modern bullion coins that if you could get them upgraded to MS70 for me from PCGS, I would be glad to pay $3,000 or 3 years of coffee, whichever you prefer.

Which series do you think the Millennials will latch on to? I'm thinking either First Spouses or State Quarter Spoons.

My Adolph A. Weinman signature :)

I like the First Spouses long term especially FS versions which have lower pops so they do not need a large new following to start moving. I also feel the newcomers will go for football shaped coins and basketball curved coins that I think will show up at the Mint in a few years, But I do still like Modern commemoratives as well, because they have dropped a bit now may be a good time to get back into them.

But really, I think if the bitcoin craze does not soak up all the money people have available to invest in coins and precious metals, we will see more US coin demand come from China, not just from millennials or whatever is after that. China has many more millionaires than the US and they like gold and silver, so some may get a kick out of diversifying into some US coins. This includes better quality classic gold as well.

Edited to add that US platinum coin series in PCGS 70 are very hard to find and have upside potential as some are crazy low mintage and few graded.
