Looking for someone that has a copy of the Stack's sale catalog of Sept. 28, 1967

If anyone has a copy of the Stack's sale of September 28, 1967. Do the $10 Eagles that sold have photos? I am trying to identify an Eagle that was sold in that auction possibly to Harry Bass. Thanks

Here is a link to the September 29, 30, 1967 Stack's Sale catalog in the Newman Numismatic Portal. I could not find a Stack's sale dated September 28, 1967 in the Portal. I also checked in John Adams United States Numismatic Literature (Volume II) and there is no Stack's sale dated September 28, 1967.

I only found 7 lots of $10 Gold Eagle's in this sale (Lots 1303 to 1309 on Page 67). None of these 7 Lots are plated. You can page through the catalog and make sure I didn't miss another grouping of $10 Gold.

    Good luck with your research.

Indeed, the Adams vol. II index for all sales lists nothing for 9/28/1967. Nor was there a Coin Galleries sale on this date. If the OP can provide some more context we might be able to find something.

First off - thank you both. The information I have is that in the Bower & Merena Oct 1999 Harry Bass Jr auction, Part II, Lot 1656 lists provenance to Stack's sale of September 28, 1967. That's all I have at the moment.

I got the info for Exbrit out of the Bass catalog. I just triple checked it. Lot 1656 does say "From the Stacks sale of September 28, 1967" Check the Stack's sale of Sept 29, if one of the lots is an 03-S, I think you can presume that the Bass notes were a day off and the coin came from that Stack's sale.

Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

Dead end with the September 29, 1967 Stack's auction. No 1902 S Eagle. Thanks anyway. I'll keep searching.
