Need to see both sides.
Hold on I'll get anther pic
It looks like a similar design to the Battle of Waterloo medal by Pistrucci. Go on to the internet and see what you find.
Sorry had to dig through the booty.
That's awesome. That's more info then I found searching around the net for hours. A great starting point for me. Thanks. Only a thousand more foreign coins to go through yet.
It is a fantastic piece of art work
Thanks guys
A gorgeous piece!!!
Benedetto Pistrucci's Waterloo Medal:
It seems that Wikipedia has a reasonably good article, but a defective page link. You will have to google Waterloo Medal Pistrucci to get to the Wikipedia page. There is a popular Military medal, also called the Waterloo Medal, that was given to the soldiers who participated in this battle. This may cause confusion, but you may wish to read about that too.
Commissioned in 1819 and not completed until 1849, I do not think that copies of this medal were readily available to collectors until John Pinches, Ltd, (medalists) struck it about 1970. A number of larger versions have been issued since.
Nice !!!
Thanks for all the help and leads. Hope to be able to use you guys for more help in the very near future.

Interesting for the detailed descriptions of the devices, but it appears that four (?) of the six are electrotype shells, one is cast, and one says struck by John Pinches Ltd. in 1872 (?).
In the Royal Mint Case, I think his specimen is about 1990 (about the 175th anniversary of the Battle).
There is a slightly nicer example on eBay right now, the BRM case is intact and it has a COA.
I think bill is right on the money. Same case and everything. Mine is just missing the paperwork.
Does it have hallmarks on the edge?
to the boards!
