It will probably be awhile until I can get one because although they are attractive I do not want to pay $100 over melt

I might pay BV plus $25 - $35 on a nice slabbed 69 or 70 but that is about it.

With the market slow right now (fewer collectors) these coins are in a free fall as are many others.

Nice 19th century type and better dates strong.

I don't know that you'll see the premium that low. $50 over, probably.

Free fall? Most recent pcgs 70 ebay sales are $2,945, $1,881, and $1,950. Not sure how that is in free fall.

That $2945 is an outlier, someone got taken. The seller called it a "high relief", though just a regular coin. The $1900 price on 70s is about right.

I don't know who called it a free fall, but it is falling...slowly. Especially the unslabbed coins. They've dropped several hundred dollars in the last few weeks. They are in the $1400 to $1500 range.

P.S. You can't quote Gluggo's last 3 purchases and call that a market barometer.

When have the raw ones ever sold higher than that? Those are still the highest raw price's I've ever seen. Go check ebay sales history.

So are all of these graded? Are any offered as RAW? How did these sell from the mint, in rolls? And if a RAW one does exist, would it be picked over/flawed as all the really nice raw ones would've been sent in for grading? I sometimes prefer a raw coin over slabbed but I've only seen these in graded offerings...

"BLACK FLAG LABEL" Either that's bug spray, blended whiskey or the plague.

At $1,012 per troy ounce, the should cost about $1,100. + shipping.

There aren't many raw coins on eBay at all. Initially, when they were hard to get, the raw coins were well over $1500. But, whatever, I don't care about this coin at all, so I'm really not going to argue about it.

Palladium and platinum are doomed. Electric and fuel cell cars don't use them. The price action in the last month is hardly indicative of anything EXCEPT the price action in the last month.

I just like to see facts backing up statements. You said "They've dropped several hundred dollars in the last few weeks. They are in the $1400 to $1500 range." To me, that means they used to be up to $1,700 or more for raw. I only see 7 raw that have sold for over $1,500, and one was yesterday, and one on the 9th.

The raw were selling for $1600-$1700 right after release, not sure if any sold on eBay at that price. They spiked quickly and have started settling back. I don't expect a "cliff". Not a big enough market to move quickly.

I can tell it's slow right now. We will see how it goes this weekend. This is the Black Sunday Special. Monday maybe extend the Double Black Monday Special. Probably going Tuesday, till Friday.

IMHO the price of those MS70 remains strong due to the demand. I'll wait until the Black Label come down to $1700 if ever....

Spot price of Palladium - strong, gettin' stronger.
Inherent beauty of this coin - remains strongest.

I like them but not a label chaser. A MS70 is a 70 don't care about the label just that it says PCGS. Don't like the one's across the street.

    I agree Type2.
Don't like the cheapie looking NGC labels. It distracts from the beauty of this coin.
Plus the overall lesser value of their modern grading keeps me on the PCGS payroll.

There are still raw ones on ebay. I bought 3 raw and submitted them for grading before the first strike deadline. I thought they would be the rejects, but ended up getting 2 70's and one 69.

    Very nice, well done.

The coin is a beauty and will do well long term.
