I think the name of his current company is "Rare Coin Investments", and he is still very actively doing the show circuit. He's probably been in the business for approximately 50 years, and he's certainly had his ups and downs.
Another old thread resurected........ Robert L Hughes aka Neyronix, was thrown off eBay years ago. His coins were confiscated at the Long Beach show a few years ago. Haven't seen him at the shows since. Most recently, he has been selling out-dated cable jacks on Amazon:

....and, a few years later, I find myself on his email list (got 2 emails in the last week....appears he is combing registry sets for potential clients.
I had thought he was on ebay....
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
He has not worked for Monaco for at least a year...I like Bob personally, but if he was an attorney his Law Firm name would be "Dickem, Goode & Lovett"...just saying.... lol

In the late 1970s he was in a rough business spot and I remember Kam Ahwash, among others, trying to help him sell some flying eagle dollars and other pieces.
That idiot doesn't know how to drive either! If I was an average driver he would've creamed me cutting me off at a show in Atlanta!

Been around a long time. I have had successful dealings with him, but probably a decade ago.
He stepped up big time and helped me out, once, when no one else would. I can’t speak for everyone but I have nothing but respect and regard for the man.

RLH is a good friend and my dealings with him have only been good, so I had no intention of jumping into this thread. But since driving came up, I'll tell a quick story. About a year ago at LB, a monstrous rainstorm hit, visibility on the roads was awful, and many roads were seriously flooded. So Bob, his lovely assistant and I decided to take his car out to dinner, of course. On the way, we somehow took a turn into a heavily flooded road. So flooded, in fact, that the entire road and surrounding area, 100-200 feet ahead, looked more like a slow moving river than a flooded road. As we approached the flooded area, Bob turned to me and said "We probably shouldn't drive into that", which was completely obvious. But he didn't slow down, much less stop. He just kept going. About 100 feet into the waters, the water was almost up to the windows. I was sure we were going to have to abandon the car and swim for our lives. But somehow, we made it to the other side, and we had a very nice meal in a very empty restaurant. Next time, I'm driving.

Classic! I so imagined him saying this as he drove through.
Sometimes I think there should be a lot more carpooling or more than one person in vehicles for the sake of efficiency; then every time I have aggressive drivers behind me there is someone else in the vehicle goading them on..
That gives a whole new take on "Car Pooling".
I know Bob well enough from prior shows to know the look on his face when he said that !
I'll elaborate ... I was next to him in the right lane...he was in the left and he decided he needed to turn into the drive we were next to....He was maybe a quarter car length in front of me and whipped over to make the turn!...all I can say is what a lucky dumbass he was I was driving! We were going around 30 MPH! Yeah...I remember crap like that!
PS I was in a Suburban and he was in a rinkydink Rental Car!
but they were very nice kitchens and designs I hope?

The text that appears at the bottom of every post you make (including your phone number) is called a "Signature block".
To change it:
1. Look near the upper right corner of the Forum window. There should be a "gear" icon (toothed circle) on the right side. If you hover your mouse over it, it should say "Account Options". Click on it.
2. This opens a drop down menu with about 8 items. Choose "Edit Profile".
3. This opens a page with Account & Privacy Options. Look at the list in the upper right corner. One of the items is "Signature Settings". Click on it, and there you can change the phone number or anything else that is displayed at the bottom of your posts.
That should do it.
How weird for me that I JUST posted about Bobby Hughes in another thread, then lo and behold, this one pops up. LOL
