Does anyone know who made the early Washington Mint bar designs in 1971 and '72?

Thanks!

Thanks. So far nothing identifies the designers/engravers.

Might be able to get something from Coin World stories on the era, but good luck getting copies of the microfilms. Last I heard they had declined to let the back issues be copied for the NNP.

CW is working on their digitization project. But article indices from many publications going back to 1970 have nothing to add about the designer/engraver.

This is interesting....there were two different "Washington Mints" using the same design you are researching:

    Thanks!

If Washington had two mints, did Martha have two husbands?
