Pretty narrow range of guesses for the 71, the 65 however ...

    1965- $245
    1971 $73

Mile High has about 200 lots of 1970-80's stuff that is really low. Is anyone looking at this?

Shhh. I don't think anyone is paying attention. Heck you could do a case break of 1984 Topps FB at $599 each box.

The 1971 Topps box would be an incredible box to own. I realize it is missing one pack but it is a series 1.

I couldn't agree more Shane. That would be an awesome box to own.

Mike, If memory serves me correctly, I believe a box of 1971 Topps series 3 or 4 sold in HA for $70K. Series one would be more expensive than the HA box.

I don't know if there would be enough interest. I am not sure if the value is $3500 as a stand alone pack. Grote or CPAMike would for sure know the value of a pack as a stand alone item.

The price of the 1965 Topps seems pretty low based on some of these estimates with just over an hour to go. Does Mile High in general see a lot of action in extended bidding that really moves prices up significantly?

i cant believe how expensive the brady bunch box is fetching! $27K with the juice!

it does have alice the maid's rookie card though

And the Star Trek PACK for +$7K. Yes, a pack. If this is not the sign of super inflation around the corner, I don't know what is.

ExMt (PSA 6) 1971 packs would be overpriced significantly at $3500 each. Read the BBCE letter of authenticity. They all have a factory tear in them

I would place the value of a PSA 7 1971 1st series wax pack at about $2,400. $3,500 would be way overpriced.

Still lots of bidding activity as the 15 minute clock is resetting every 30 seconds or so. Auction rules indicate that it will likely be around 3am EST before this one wraps up. Glad to be watching the excitement from the the Pacific Time Zone. Any board members on the other coast staying up to watch the end?

There are some steals for the unopened fan. I am shocked that the 1965 Topps box is not higher and yes, bidding will be very active for another two hours.

Most cases and many boxes looked very low grade / end, returns and beat up :'(

Some of those cases went for very strong prices. Steve has virtually the same product broken out for 20-30% less. FASC continues to gain momentum and intact cases are carrying a large premium over individual boxes within them. Some of the hammers defy logic, but I'm not complaining.

Wow - exhausted this morning after a very long night/morning of bidding and even more thinking about bidding. I ended up with 2 of the 7 items I was interested in, including the one I really wanted, so overall, not too bad aside from the need for a quadruple shot of espresso this morning! Was very surprised at the price of some of the unopened product, especially the vintage boxes. Some went much lower than I expected, and others much higher! Really surprised on the 65 Topps football box - thought it would sell for more. The 71 Topps baseball box final price looked about right to me, especially given the specific condition of the packs.

Hope everyone got something awesome. Wonder if the some of the partial vintage boxes will get graded and sold individually later on down the road?

    Go Dodgers!

MarsAttacks -- which lots did you win? Specifically, did you win the wacky Ads box? Feel free to PM or ignore if you prefer. :)

Sort of sad about missing out on the 1971 Topps Box. I actually thought it might go for around double what it did.

Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.

Assuming the packs were ExMt/PSA 6 (as per BBCE opinion letter), 23 packs at about $1800 each plus the wax box come out somewhere in the low to mid $40ks range so it sold for what it was worth IMO.

Had the packs been NM/PSA 7 then mid to high $50ks would have been fair value.

I sold 1 of my 2 packs of '65 FB 2 years ago and it went for about $2500. Think it was thru PWCC. I would think it has appreciated a bit more since then--so maybe FMV is about $3K

Kudos to those who had the scratch to buy some of this awesome unopened material
