    Here's my view in socal. Corona is pretty cool here but you full totality guys suck! @dcarr really did capture the corona well in his medal though!

    Yes. A few miles from shore at about 1300' altitude.

    It was only to be a 2/3rds eclipse for us. But low clouds settled on the whole area. Pretty common this time of the year. The central desert heats up which drags in cool ocean air.

    It was a little eerie at the peak. Darker and cooler, with thick fog wafting around. I couldn't even guess where the sun/moon was.

    The 1995 GS (not a convertible) I had was the first car I ever bought brand-new.

    I was near 99% and wish I would have gone south a ways. It just got slightly dimmer outside. Traffic on rural 2 lane Oregon highways is a nightmare though.

    MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

    We had 5 straight days of beautiful blue skies in Rockford, Illinois and the night before the eclipse, we had clouds and rain which lasted until the eclipse and then afterwards it cleared up. Sooo, I drove to Springfield Illinois to get out of the mess and ended up at a Walmart parking lot and seen the entire eclipse under a blue sky. It was insane and beautiful.

    Yes, totally worth the trip!

    I drove an hour this morning to a spot just south of Molalla, OR. The drive was normal with no traffic jams. The ride home only took a half hour longer after the eclipse than the morning trip. This was on one of those rural 2 lane highways. I-5 did not fare so well after the eclipse.

    The location we made it to had a totality duration of 1:17. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. We stood out in a famers field and just before totality with my back to the sun, I could see rippling shadows caused by the rapidly changing temperature of the air being cast across the field. It was such an eerie feeling, but amazing. I brought my binoculars to look at totality and saw the corona with the flares emerging towards the top of the sun. My kids were awestruck and I am sure they will remember this the rest of their lives. :)

    I got to view totality about 7 miles south of ground zero (Fogarty Creek State Park) at Otter Rock on the Oregon Coast.
    It was definitely a "WOW!" moment ; I only wished it lasted longer (only about two minutes.)
    I feel changed in some way as a result.
