It is now actually a little easier to get to the convention center from the east (i.e., O'Hare, downtown). I-90 has been widened a lot from O'Hare to Rockford, so traffic here is much more pleasant. There is also a new exit ramp at Meacham Rd. if you are coming from the east. Exit Meacham going north, then turn right into the convention center. From the west and from 290, you still use 290/53 to Algonquin Rd.

How is the parking? I am planning on staying at a hotel about a mile or so away, would I be better off getting an uber or taxi or just driving myself?

Lots of parking, piece of cake.
Yes, there is a big parking garage right across the street.

You must be thinking of someplace else. Big parking lots around the whole building.

Isn't it at the same place it has been for several years now?
If I could make it I would. Great show and I could finally meet my buddy, dimeman and you other folks that'll be there. Please do let me know how it goes.
I wish I was at the Santa Clara show but I'm really tied up with spring time stuff to do
Happy hunting

I guess the CSNS membership and Board they elect should be choosing the site, and it does seem to be centrally located for the States represented, but it might be more effective if it moved around and drew a more diverse crowd.

I agree...it used to be all over, From Kansas City to Ohio and from Milwaulkee to STL.
I'm supposed to attend Friday with a coin buddy, but I have a very sore foot, so may not make it. If I do go, I'll likely be the one carrying an old fashioned strapped aluminum folding chair so I can sit down every now and then. Walking and standing on concrete is what started my troubles, now in it's 3rd week, so I'll just have to see what Friday brings.

This has been my only show for the past few years, don't be surprised if I run you people over getting to the door!
Since the ANA has not at been at Rosemont lately this is the only big show I can get to this year- I have to go or I will start to develop an annoying twitch.

If anyone is looking for a good place to eat, Shaw's Crabhouse is an excellent place to dine. It's across the interstate next to the Woodfiled Mall. Excellent and fresh seafood. Highly recommend. I hope to be there Friday or Saturday.......the show and Shaw's. Great place to eat oysters.

Those of you who do go, please write your forum name on your badges in addition to your actual name.
I usually do that at all shows...and it has paid off in people spotting me.
I was thinking of doing this but no room on the dealer badges. Im sure a few customers had done this, was just so busy I never though to ask. I am set up at table 1905 if anyone wants to drop by and say hello.

Yes, there is a big parking garage right across the street.
See Dennis King, Larry Cundari, and me at table #609. Please stop by!

Yeah, but you have to drive through Illinois to get there! The highways just stop and go for no reason at all.
I'd come from the west or north but it's tough from the south.
Isn't it at the same place it has been for several years now?
Yes. The ANA show 2 years ago in Chicago had a garage across the street. There is plenty of parking here in the parking lot and no garage.
Thursday for me

For those asking...Schaumburg is way better than Rosemont IMHO.

That's right...now I remember.
I'm looking forward to meeting you too Joe.
And the parking is FREE in Schaumburg!
IIRC Rosemont was $20?
I will be there thru Friday evening. I must return home early. Please stop by.

Yes, just to confirm, this show is at the Renaissance Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill. and NOT at the Stevens center in Rosemont, Ill.
Parking is outdoor, ample and free.

If I wanted to drop coins off for grading, but not show grading is that allowed?
Yes. They refer to it as a "take-home" submission.
