I read that article earlier today and was confused - so alan zucker(i guess from steiner) asks for 2 game used helmets and 2 game used jerseys

so eli by eli telling the equip manager to get 2 helmets that means that they arent game used? Couldnt he be asking the equip manager to grab 2 helmets of his that were game used?

I read the article so that it seemed Eli didn't want to part with the game used items, so he had the equipment manager choose ones that looked game used instead. I'm sure this happens more regularly than we think. For athletes making 10's of millions, autograph and memorabilia deals are very small potatoes.

Probably happens a lot but that's a shame. Eli was getting paid a good amount to provide authentic stuff so the fact that he wanted to pass helmets that were not game used as authentic game used is BS. He's gone down a ton in my book. It's not that big a deal to provide what you're getting paid to provide. If it's too much trouble, don't sign on to do it. I'll be interested to see what comes of this...
