It is with great sadness that I report the untimely death of Benjamin Bell, a consummate numismatist and overall nice guy. Ben was formerly of CNG, Civitas, and most recently World Numismatics.
Please join me in honoring Ben with your remembrances of him.
Ben, we will miss your wit and wisdom. You left us too soon. Rest in peace.

So young. So sad. Condolences to his family and friends.

Oh wow, what a tragedy. My thoughts are with his family.

Though we all knew the likely outcome of his illness, it's still quite shocking to us.
Tonight he dines in Valhalla.

A difficult loss indeed. I did not know him but to read words that reflect on his ethics, character, knowledge, and respect, i can see he was one of the good guys. Rest in peace.
Ben sadly succumbed to chronic illness. He was a vibrant yet low key man with extensive knowledge of and love for coins. He was thoughtful and contemplative and a true gentleman, in every sense of the word. I learned something new every time I met and spoke with Ben. His passing is a loss to his family, the many people who loved and knew him, and our entire numismatic community. Ben will be missed. Rest in Peace Friend. You are well remembered.
Sad news indeed. Requiescat in pace.
