Are there many U.S. coins and precious metals as well? It looks like a great list of dealers. Just wondering if some of them bring some U.S. with them. Thanks.

Had a great afternoon at Early Bird and the cocktail party.
First stop was an accidental meeting with Mike Printz of Harlan Berk. Since Mike is their US coin guy, I did not expect him to be there. We had a nice conversation about the coin market. He is one of the nice guys in the business.
Next stop was to finally meet Andy Lustig. I had hoped to find a Pillar 8 Reales to take home. No luck, but his recent grading may get delivered to the show tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Last stop at early bird was at CRO. I bought an 1805 8 Reales from Peru with killer toning. Thanks John!!
Time for the cocktail party! More on that later.

The cocktail party Wednesday night was great fun.
I spent a good bit of time talking with Russ Augustin. He is very knowledgeable in several areas, including ancients. Ancient coins are not my cup of tea, but I did learn a lot.
I also got to talk to Daniel Sedwick and his colleague, Connor. They know Spanish colonial coinage quite well.
Daniel has written a book about cobs. If those interest you, you should contact him and buy the book.
I actually had dinner with Daniel and Connor. I learned a great deal about colonial coinage from them.

On Thursday, the highlights were meeting Boosibri plus getting to talk to Andy Lustig and Mike Dunnigan. Boosibri is building a really nice collection of colonial Latin American coins. Both dealers know colonial Spanish coinage so very well. I may be hooked on a new numismatic specialty!

Near the end of the day, I found a cool looking British shilling. My Mother was English, so I have always had a special place in my heart for those coins. It is an 1816 (George III) MS65. Not an expensive coin, but only 25 in grade with about that many better. Cool semi-rarity for a small price.

I will try to post photos of my new NEWPS:

    1) 1805 Peru 8 Reales - AU 55
    2) 1816 British shilling - MS 65

I am truly excited about these additions to my set. I love coins shows!!

I believe I heard it will be at the Palmer House (which is a Historic Hilton Hotel) next year. Mr. Eureka should be able to confirm that.

The Palmer House would be great - $$$ to stay there if I remember correctly. Nice rooms and and plenty of space for the show.
