  I recommend you purchase a copy of Steve Herrman's Auction & Mailed Bid Prices Realized for Bust Half Dollars. This will show you prices realized for dozens of 1812/1 O-101 and 1812/1 O-101a half dollars from around 1997 to date, including at least one holed example of this type / die marriage. You can subscribe or buy just one issue.

  You will have a pretty clear picture of the price range for examples of this type / die marriage in all circulated grades after studying this document.

  It seems to me that the desirability combined with rarity of this major variety would support these numbers, but that doesn't always pan out in the auction settings. For example, the choice PCGS 25 that sold for just over 10k, and some mostly run of the mill looking 30's in the 8-9k range.

  I think your numbers (PCGS?) are pretty solid. I'd pay a little more for choice.

  David's advice above is good. Dave Rutherford has much of the same data (as Hermann) online for a yearly $15 subscription.
