Please do not put me down as a hater, but I have no desire to collect moderns.. at one point I was going to try and build a set of all the non gold 20th century circulation strikes....but then lost interest....now a type guy....
Retired United States Mint guy, now working on an Everyman Type Set.
Half dimes and gold dollars, love em, but are just so small........ Plus my bean rate for the hd's is pretty low, so I am missing something in my judgement of what I like. I have a dozen hd's, but looking to sell them all when the market comes back. 1gd, keeping it, but anticipate no more additions.
Seated Dollars. Had close to 15 back in the 70s and sold them all for some strange reason. I don't even remember what I did with the money although I'm sure it was more coins of some sort. I like the design, I like the size and I especially like the way it feels when you hold one in your hand.
Three Dollar gold would also be interesting. I think they are overlooked and under rated.
Haven't given them any though until I saw this thread.
At the moment my funds are filling other holes in my collection.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
ASE's and possibly a type set. Right now I'm determined to complete a Basic Set, Circulation Strike Washington quarter registry (354 required items), so all my extra money is going there.

Good points, I like circs in albums too, but what would a 23-s SLQ in VF, not slabbed, look like? Why isn't it slabbed? How much would you lose cracking it? Arrgghh!!!

I don't collect anything else because I'm focused on half dimes. That's where the money goes. When I complete that I'm not sure what I will do.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Gold coinage. I have bought several pieces, but always wind up selling them to finance my upgrades in my Type set.
