I think there was a thread about this sometime back. It was concluded that this is a continuous listing, and the seller jacks up the price when they're out of inventory. When the seller gets more, the price will go back down.
Funny. When I first read the auction title I thought the coins were $2 per roll. My initial thought was "That's a good deal for a bunch of dateless Buffalo's". Then I saw that the auction was a BIN at over $500 per roll. LOL.
