Dollar bill stamp

My buddy found an old stamp shaped like a dollar bill, I believe it was a 1¢ or 1$. He sold it to a guy in a pawn shop (who said had no knowledge of stamps) for 18$. Can anyone maybe elaborate and value that stamp? Sorry I have no pics of it

Too vague of description, it was the size of a dollar bill, if so that's a pretty huge stamp! The US Postage stamps (single issue) to my knowledge never issued a large stamps as such.
Now, if the design 'looked' perhaps like a dollar bill, then yes.

I don't believe it was the size of a dollar bill, just in the shape of one. I believe it was an older stamp. I will have to get more details from my buddy

He said he thinks it was a trans-mississippi. But not a real old one? 50's? Hope that helps...
