Your in the same situation I'm in as I too live in Northern California. Not a coin club anywhere around me either. I'm a couple of hours north of Sacramento. Please do let me know what you come up with .

The closest I've found is Sacramento but I'm still searching. That's a couple hours from me too. I would think there would be a club somewhere close. Hopefully someone here will be able to help

I think you'll have a much better chance where you live rather than the small mountain town I live in. I gave up years ago.

Maybe one should be started, lol
I'm going to call a few coin dealers (Chuck's Coins) to see if they might know of any

Your an hour north of me. Maybe we should start our own club. :) We'd have two members.

I tried this and the closest was Sacramento. Looks like I might have to travel

Yes they are far in between I'm sorry to say. I have visited a couple of coin shops in Redding though. One I was fond of was but their name slips my memory. I use to purchase gold from the guy back in the day for melt. We got along really well.
Good luck and if ya run across anything let me know.
    Happy hunting, Joe

All it takes is a few dedicated people and you could be off and running.

If any of you do start up any new clubs, that would be great and I'm sure that if a few of you here are looking, there are others in the area that would attend as well.

I'm the current president of the NASC (Numismatic Association of Southern California) and even though most of our member clubs are from SoCal, if you do get a club started up I'll cover its first year's of membership dues in NASC. Once you're a member club, you'll have info on your club printed on our website and in our quarterly magazine, The California Numismatist. You'll also get to participate in our annual club benefit gold drawing where we have a gold coin raffle and clubs that sell tickets for us get to keep about half of the proceeds from ticket sales as a way to make some extra money for their club.

Just let me know if you get something started up and if you need any other help :)

Not that I know of. I think the Caveman Coin Club is the only one that is in southern Oregon.

If you are in Auburn the Sacramento club meets of I-80 in North Sac, would not be that far for you.

The coin shop in Chico just closed so its dry as a bone around here. That why I tend to do well in pawn and antique shops around this area. Another words, dead.
