Mintages in old Red Books

For those of you who collect old Red Books, when did they start listing mintages? Specifically, what was the first mintage listed for the 1878 8TF Morgan dollar, and when was it listed?

    Hello,

Not much help but I have 1968 Red Book that shows 1878 8 Tail Feathers 750,000.

I also have a sixth edition blue book, 1948 that shows 1878 All kinds - 10,509,550.

Hopefully that gives you something to go on.

    Cheers

John...I have Red Books dating back to 1958 [ plus the reprint of the 1947 ] and the first
time that a specific mintage for the 1878 - 8TF was in 1969 stating the mintage was 750,000
    with 700 proofs w/ 8 TF.

"Unc's" were listed for $11.00 and Proofs were $295.

Thanks. I'm surprised at the 700 number for the proofs. That should have been revised down to 500 eventually. Can I bug you to check when?
