Bust dime variety?

I was at a coin show today where a dealer had an 1832 Bust dime with part of the coin's date obscured by original planchet metal. I checked out on both PCGS and NGC varieties and did not see anything like that. Both the dealer and the collector he had bought the coin from are knowledgeable coin guys. Has anyone heard of this? Thanks.

Are you talking about a die chip in the lower
part of the 8 ?

I'll ask Brian, could be a die chip covering the bottom of the date.
note 1834 JR-5 has an obverse cud at the bottom of the date. Check out the new Bust Dime book at page 109.
I am not aware of a similar cud for 1832. Would love to see a picture
I spoke with Brian; he said it is an 1836, sounds like Easton said, cud. He thought it was a lamination. But it covered and obscured the bottom of the date. That's what jumped out at me. I offered to buy it and another Bust dime he was selling but now he probably thinks he has a major rarity and wants to do more research himself.
