GTG: 1938 Rainbow Rim Toned Washington ***Grade Posted***

Asheland nailed it. I still think its undergraded with or without the rim nick. Maybe the nick keeps it from 66 but should be 65 all day, there are no other marks or dings visible. So whats the best option? Leave as is and try for a gold bean or resubmit for a possible 65/66 and maybe green bean if i'm lucky?

What do you see that makes this a 63 in your opinion?

The luster mainly.

MS65. That's not damage at 3:00 O'clock on the obverse is it?
Now that you point it out I think it might be a nick. Didn't notice it before and thought it was the prong holding the coin in the slab but that mark is above the prong.

Very nice. 66

I was going to say 66 but the 3:00 rim damage? may be grade limiting.
I'm in the 66 boat as well. I've seen worse looking 66's as well.
Looks like a solid 66.
I'll take a wild guess of 63
That is one amazing 63 my friend. Really pretty!! I wish all 63's looked that nice.
I wouldn't even REMOTELY hesitate to hammer that out of the slab and re-submit. Seriously, not even a question...
