Michael De Falco 1901-O Morgan

Just wanted to find out what anyone knew about this. I looked up Michael and turns out he passed away in 2010. I bought this not knowing exactly who Michael was. I just liked the coin and thought it looked original. Any thoughts input or information is greatly appreciated.

That is very cool and the first time I have seen that type of holder of Mikes...
Mike had one of the best eyes for quality toned Morgans and DMPL`s on this planet and many type coins as well... He also handled some of the finest of those coins and many ended up in the top finest collections as he would say "on this planet"... Mike was also one of the most charming human beings I have every met and he is missed very much so in the Numismatic Community....

Mike passed away in 2010 from cancer, and I really miss him, and his wife Laura. He was of great help when I began collecting. He had a fantastic eye for toned material of all sorts, especially the Morgans. I believe his favorites were the DMPL. As I began to build a collection of CC Dollars many came from Mike. He taught me a great deal and I miss the many conversations we had. We personally met at a Long Beach Show I attended, and I knew him at first sight. Mike, like many of us was not perfect, but he was Saved!!! Today, Mike is in the arms of his, and my Savoir. I look forward to the day I get to see him again.

Mike was one of the most astute and knowledgeable dealers in toned Morgan dollars. I would say he sold more "monster" toned dollars than any single dealer. He was the most active bidder in the famed 4 sales of the Battle Creek Collection, held about 10 years ago. Here's one coin that originated with Mike and was acquired by David Hall. I acquired it when David sold his toned dollar collection several years ago.

    Wow, your 1880-S is amazing.
That may be the prettiest toned Morgan I have seen.

I loved talking DMPL with Mike at Long Beach shows. Just a great guy. I have a 1901-O PCGS 63DMPL I showed him one Long Beach. He took a quick glance and said that it was the deepest 1901-O he had seen. Needless to say that coin is going nowhere anytime soon.
