I do not comment often on the GTGs as I tend to look at the previous graders and think "Well, they got that one right already so why should I post?" But in this case . . .it looks like first shot . . .so I am going to venture XF45 from the pix.
Good detail on shield and feathers on the reverse, and XF type flatness on the high points of the obverse. Lack of luster in any protected areas (pix?) would preclude AU in my opinion in any sense.
I agree with XF45. I think it is a business strike based on on date placement and the lack of die lumps on the shield lines. Coins like this one sometimes grade AU50 these days, but they usually end up XF45 if they have darker toning.
The last one I had of nearly identical quality ended up grading out XF45...and sold to me by my local shop as a raw VF or about half the price an XF was worth. You get lucky sometimes.
Hmmm. I just sent one in that looks just like that and it's mine. I grade both of them 45. I'll let you know when I get mine back...should be next week.
Since it asks what would we grade the coin. I'm one of those that want to see more luster on a 45. So to me it's a 40 from what I can see. I don't care what the services, or John would grade it these days.

Gerry Fortin has a PCGS XF45 of this date on his site for sale right now, and the obverse is indeed a touch sharper than this coin, particularly around Ms. Liberty's knee and breast. The XF40 crowd might be on to something.

Nice coin . . . wholesome example!

45 here!
XF45. On a bad day they could 40 it.

I say XF 40.

Looks like a solid 40 to me but I wouldn't be surprised if it landed in a 45 holder.
Hoard the keys
I'm going with 35. I think it's a really nice coin.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

XF40 most likely. I like it! Nicely circulated, to the point where the mint luster is gone, but still retains most of it's detail.

I'm with the 40 crowd. The reverse is definitely a 45 but the obverse is weaker.
45
Xf40 and nice and original
I would give it an AU50. Based on the light wear on the wing leading edges.

I'd say 45. It's still got some meat on the bones.
This.

I have a harding time counting with numbers greater than twenty (a fingers and toes thing), so I'll just say "Very Attractive".
35, looks a little rough around the edges.
Agree with 35. The devices look 40 but elsewhere it takes me to 35.
Tough one
