I'm on Instagram under the same name here, and there is a decent sized numismatic crowd on there.

I'm relatively new to Instagram and I was surprised how much coin content is there.
  Some absolutely amazing pictures.
I also didn't realize people bought and sold on instagram. I'm still not exactly sure how that's done, I haven't noticed a way to private message other users. Maybe my 17 year old can show me how.

I've had an Instagram account that was idling for a bit with around 40 followers. Then a few weeks ago I started posting coins with various hashtags and found there are lots of people worldwide that like to do the same thing! While it's only a small statistical sample, I've seen coins from all around the world from people of all ages. I've also recognized a few forum members from here as well, my Instagram handle is the same name as on CU. Right now I'm in the middle of a small picture series, going thru Civil War seated halves one year at a time. My following is now 200+ and increasing.

I've never bought and sold out there, but I've seen people who have done it successfully.
