Anyone seen the series Detectorists on Netflix

There are 2 seasons of the show on Netflix its sort of a laid back comedy , the main characters manage to do some detecting in every episode.

It's a funny show , not raunchy like most comedies these days its worth checking out.

    I have not seen that...nor am I likely since I have never used Netflix... :) I do not watch much TV....just have more interesting things to do... Cheers, RickO

    I've watched both seasons. Pretty good show. Each season is only like 8 episodes, so it's a quick binge!

    Yeah, but I have a problem when they find coins they just can't help rubbing the dirt off them with their gloves. Don't they have a clue?

    I'm not a "detectorist", but have such tendencies and inclinations that I could see myself pursuing such as hobby. @bronco2078 's post here just filled 3 hours of my lazy day - not at all what I was expecting - and worth the watch.

    There is a nonfiction British show called "Mud Men"- I caught Season 1 of that through Amazon Prime and enjoyed it. Maybe it's available through other venues.

    I also recently DVR-ed about 20 episodes of "Diggers" off the National Geographic Channel.

    Have only seen one episode of "Detectorists" so far.

    Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

    Watched season 1 last year. Didn't know season 2 was available.

    I loved the simon and garfunkle bit , they got a lot of mileage out of that :D

    Just watched first four episodes, like the long slim shovels they use, anyone know where to buy a shovel like that, might save a bit on the knees. Seems they do a little hunting then off to the pub...funny when Andy paid for the pints with dug coins.

    Love this series. They just announced plans for season 3 later this year.

    They are called lesche shovels and you can get them on the internet, places like ebay etc.

    Finally took the time to watch this series, if you haven't watched it , do yourself a favor and take the time. I found it quite refreshing compared to the crap on TV nowdays. I though that season 1 was slightly better than season 2. Never seen a detector the size of the one that lance uses.

    Does anyone have a link to the first episode of season 3 that aired this week? It was on BBC4, but apparently you can only get that channel in the UK. I really enjoy this show.
