Looks AT .But may be the lighting.

  • ZoinsZoins Posts: 34,401 ✭✭✭✭✭

Is that how it looks in hand?

  • david3142david3142 Posts: 3,613 ✭✭✭✭✭

Looks natural to me, but I agree that the lighting makes it look worse than it probably is. The strike is absolutely hammered though!

Haven't received it yet. It's in a problem free PCGS holder

looks like it was stored in an envelope. I believe you will be pleased when it arrives and the color will be more vibrant. it looks muted in the picture.

Not real impressed from the photo presented, but knowing it's in a 6 holder from Northeast Numismatics, I bet it's a stunner.

Even though these types of images/lighting don't show the color very well; I can still see some green, blue and red.

I think you'll be really happy with it.

    I bet it'll be killer!

I've ordered from them in the past, the coin has always looked much better in hand than their photos. And that's a good thing!

My guess is that the lighting they have chosen to use has washed out much of the depth of color on the coin and that it will be more vibrant and deeper in-hand.

I'll bet it's nice in hand.

I'm with TomB, I'm guessing that the picture lacks depth and will be more vibrant in hand.

I agree...that is the best detail I have ever seen on a 40. Too bad it doesn't have an "S" on the reverse!

Northeast has nice inventory. They have a deal going on now for a couple of days where you get a gift certificate based on the amount you spend. $10 for every $100 spent. Put HOLIDAY in the promo box at checkout.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Looks good but must have failed the green bean for some reason. I see their other newp (1937 MS66) that has a pcgs # that is one number off has the bean which makes me think they both went in.

Thumb - index finger seperation = nice strike! Wondering about the color.

That looks like a "S" to me! Or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Misplaced maybe?

While I perceive that you mean that the opposite would be a bad thing, I would prefer near accurate images reflective of in-hand viewing when making a sight unseen purchase.

From the images, I would not like it for my collection. I appreciate dealers who make the effort to use professional photography.

Here is the coin in hand. I was expecting a little more color but it's nice.

Not very appealing to me but if you like it then that is what counts.
