Dauphin Dentille

This is the latest addition to my historical figures collection. It is a coin of Charles VII. What attracted me to this coin was the Dolphin with large pointy teeth.

The diameter is 20.24 mm, the weight is 1.20 gr.

Please post your French or other mediaeval coins.

Expelled the English and concluded the 100 Years War. Best known to non-historians for his association with Jeanne d'Arc.

Yes, the association with Jeanne D'arc was one of the reasons I bought the coin.

Love the sharkey dolphin, as I mentioned over on CT.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
