Is precisely not what this is:

We are like children who look at print and see a serpent in the last letter but one, and a sword in the last.

Cool, how many of those would fit on the peso?
is that you end up being governed by inferiors. – Plato
Hmm. A 1933 peso weighs approximately 16.66 grams. This 1/4 real weighs approximately .77 grams.
So roughly 21 1/2 of these 1/4 reals would equal a Mexican peso?

I love that design!
great designs in these.

cool I have a few of those from a bunk silver melt purchase about 15 years ago. sadly most of them ended up getting holed.
FWIW: There's a seller on eBay who appears to have dozens in uncirculated condition VERY cheap.
I can't vouch for the seller or the coins (though I think it's a well recognized coin dealer). But if you're interested, you might search "Guatemala: Republic 1896"

I had one on my old Holey Coin Vest, too. Put a hole in one of these, and there ain't a whole lot of silver left!
But they probably had to do that to help keep track of these dinky little things.
