these two coins were gifts to me from my wife and my niece
2008 Malaysia 50 sen given to me by my wife
2009 japan 100 yen given to me by my niece
now both coins have seen light to medium use but still i like these coins as they were given to me by two people i love

both coins are special as my niece has moved overseas to finish her nursing school and the 50 sen was from a trip my wife took to Asia

That's Cool silverpop, I have a bicentennial quarter my brother gave me before he left us after a auto accident, I had got a new apartment and he came over and was checking it out and he said "give me the 25 cent tour" so I did and when I was done I said, where's my 25 cents, and he reached into his pocket and laughed and gave me that quarter, It is very special to me

Nice coins silverpop. A couple coins I have are not worth much monetarily, but I wouldn't trade them for anything due to sentimentality.

I've not seen that Malaysian type before.
What is that on the reverse? Shaped like an anchor, sort of, but obviously isn't.

I have very few coins that were given to me as gifts, still own each of them even though I may not collect them.
The Malaysian coin has a ceremonial kite on the reverse LM

another coin i got as a gift was a 1932d US wheat penny from my sister in law who gave me it as she had found it in change
