I need some advice please with my Hank Aaron rookie
I have a SGC 60/EX5 that I need your opinions on. Should I try to cross to PSA, if so what do you think it might cross as?
I am asking because I might be able to purchase a nice PSA 6 but I can't afford to do so without selling this copy. Thoughts?
Thanks,
BC

FYI the long mark running from his eye to his neck isn't on the card, it scanned that way.

Looks like it would cross to a PSA 4 (heavily rounded corners and centering). I would sell in the current holder and not bother crossing.
Larkin, I was thinking similar on the PSA 4. If I couldn't get it to cross to a PSA 5 it wouldn't generate enough money for me to purchase the PSA 6. Thanks for the feedback.

I'd be perfectly happy with it as is, unless you really really want the PSA 6 example due to better centering, etc. If you wish you could submit to PSA for a cross and state a minimum grade to cross at, or it stays in the SGC holder. Or if feeling really adventurous, you could crack it and then submit. Maybe do so at a show PSA will be at. As far as the grade goes, I could see it as a PSA 5, or also as a 4.5.
original I hear what you are saying but the PSA 6 I am looking to upgrade to is a really nice example and IMHO it blows this one away.

I hope you can get the upgrade!
I've had this happen a few times. Any chance you could save up the difference in cost you'd think you'd pay if you sold your old one as-is? Or maybe another card you could sell as well to help make up the difference? Good luck however you decide to go.
Good luck with the upgrade. If you need the dough quickly, you might want to sell as is. With an attempted cross you run the risk of paying and not getting the grade you want anyway and having to wait for the turnaround as well.
That's a PSA 4. I'd be hard pressed to see it grade anything higher.

He's not trying to cross it into a PSA6, he wants to make it a PSA5; then with the proceeds of selling that, buy a different, already graded, PSA6.
That is correct, I realize it can't cross to a 6 but if it could to a 5 I could then proceed with purchasing another 6.

I would keep as is. I'm thinking a 5 or 5.5. TheRB edge look a bit rough and it appears as if that corner might be rounded. I think hoping for a 6 would be optimistic. It is an attractive card, with centering being the biggest obstacle for me. I think the colors are nice. Good luck with whatever you choose to do...
To be honest, no direction, but...
