Who is tired of the inconsistencies of the new forum?

Sorry. I just find the new forum has inconsistencies the old forum didn't have. For example, posting a pic that doesn't post. There are other posts i mad that didn't post, but... It certainly has positives; such as the ease of posting photos. It is just a little inconsistent at times.

    PICNIC

Problem In Chair, Not In Computer

Edited to add. I'm saying that tongue in cheek. Our IT department calls me picnic here at work.

Thus far, I have been delighted with the format and performance of the new software and very happy with the responsiveness of those who are behind the scene. However, I can imagine that depending upon the browser version that one might use that there may be issues that only some of us see or notice. Good luck.

I greatly prefer the new format.

I believe that there is something off in the posting of photos from mobile devices that will likely be "fixed"

I haven't had the smallest issue with photos or posts.

I don't like the PM system. And I'm disappointed with the narrow window (at least 33% narrower than the old format which would accept side-by-side 600x600 images -- 400x400 is the new maximum). But otherwise I think it's a terrific upgrade. And the CU staff has done a wonderful job.

As with all change, it takes a little while to get comfortable with something new. Give it some time. It is SOOOO much better than the previous software and the monthly membership fee is quite agreeable.

I'd like it a lot if I could discover how to find a delete function.
I had to post the word "delete" because I couldn't figure out how NOT to make a post.
I sure never found a way to abandon the starting of a post.

    I am having problems with IE11 (at work); not only are the icons not visibly there, although I can find them by hovering the mouse over them, there are times it takes seemingly forever just to load up the site, only to be greeted by;

"The proxy server isn’t responding" or

"This page can’t be displayed be displayed.

•Make sure the web address https://forums.collectors.com is correct.
•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes."

It is probably my network at work, but the previous forum did not have these issues.

At the house with Firefox...no problems.

There was a post here from the PCGs forum guy about this issue with IE 11:

Yes, I received that correspondence, dbtunr, but something has changed in this new forum, which was not present in the old one, that has enabled those aforementioned "issues" to occur. I have no user access (administrator controlled) to change the IE11 options for security.

I still cannot embed a photo and I can't quote someone else's post. **iPhone user

I've asked for these to be fixed and they haven't been fixed.

    Otherwise, it's great.

I agree. It's bizarre not to have a "cancel" option beside "post comment", "save as a draft" and "preview".

The workaround is to go back to the home page and click on "My Drafts" in the upper right. Then click on the "x" icon to delete the draft.

Was wondering how do you **delete **PM did not see anyplace to do so?

Also been a couple of weeks and NO faq or such to answer how to do various functions here.

Under the old forum, I could click on the most recent post and then when I revisited the forum that most recent post that I clicked on would be obvious (the link was grayed). Lost this capability with the new forum, and I miss it a lot.

Steve27, click on the black rectangle just above the composition window and paste the html link (aka, "direct" on Photobucket) in the "image URL" box.

    Here's your coin.

More of a muffin top or perhaps a brimless derby! But definitely not round.

Of course this means I need to resign my position with the flat earth society as apparently that isn't happening either!
