...I know I already said 'last question', but I'd welcome advice from any forumite on this one... thanks in advance
here's a coin pic .... see my dilemma? Anyways, I do all my posting from my iPhone6, if that matters. I tried the old way of bracketing the URL with [img] and that's a no-go now too ...

When you want to post a photo click on the image icon (the black square in the Reply menu). Then a dialog box will open up with some choices. I took your photo's web address and pasted it into the bottom choice "Image URL". Then click on Post Comment.........or Preview.
If the photo is on your computer select the option "Choose Files". It will open up your computer to where you can point out your photo.
It looks like instead of the brackets that we used to use it now uses ![] on the left side and "") on the right side. You also need to put ( directly after the symbols on the left. The address goes between this ( and the first "
It should look like this.

I have been fighting this today as well. I can upload pictures directly from my pc on IE, but can't in Chrome. I can't even get the Imgur links to work with chrome.
My Ebay Store
Also you can open that drop down picture box and there's an area surrounded by dotted lines that says "Drop image/file". You can then drag your picture into that from another window.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
That is my issue... I use my iPhone.
It does seem to be an iPhone thing to make an attachment and not embed the photo. It's not hard to click on it, but embedded is soooo much nicer. Maybe someone with a not-i phone can chime in if it's a phone in general, or iPhone specific.
It won't work with my iPhone either. The software completely ignores the bracket symbols and exclamation mark in front of the address string and the double quotes at the end.
It also won't work with the iPad.

It does not seem iPhone specific. I'm posting using Firefox, android OS.
I can't get them to work also. When I put this: http://images.pcgs.com/TrueView/81824100_Large.jpg into the third line of the drop down box, nothing shows up.

But they did attach at least and that wouldn't work on the old forums. Will be great for being able to post pics from coin shows! Would certainly prefer if they embedded vs attached though.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
That's what was happening with me. I'm just using a laptop, and hit "Enter" and images embed. If you haven't been doing so hope this helps. Just did for me. .
Yes it works on everything but the iPhone and iPad.

Chance favors the prepared mind.
From my iPad and I'm completely computer illiterate. Click on folded paper icon and chose pic from my photo library. Does it show as a large photo to you guys because that's what I see on my iPAd
You can use HTML.

1-can't embed photos from cell phones, especially iPhones
2-can't use the quote feature either
I had an issue on the iPhone with the little UpArrow they added in the lower right corner to take you back to top. Doesn't work.
If you have images stored at a dedicated image storage web site such as imgur or photo bucket, you can copy the image code from those sites and directly embed here in a post even if using a mobile platform device like iPhone or iPad.

No problem with my laptop or desktop, only iPhone and iPad.

Same here. Would be nice to quote on the iPad at least.
Quoting from my iPad. The img tags on imgur do not work anymore, instead you need to use the html tags.

I switched to hosting my own photos a few years ago instead of using Photobucket. The quality of Photobucket's images were getting worse and worse. I'd much rather pull from my site rather than download thousands of photos to my iPad photostream. I can't understand why it is so difficult having the photo icon work with the iPhone and iPad like is does with laptops and desktops.

Sorry didn't mean to bump the thread, but I am having more trouble posting photos from Chrome than anywhere else.

After pasting the URL in the box did you hit "Go" from the iPad or iPhone keyboard? You need to do that.
I did this with my iPad.

I've been using almost exclusively Chrome on my MacBook...it does fine for me uploading. Where are you uploading from? I've been using the cloud drive or the desktop folders.
I did that from my cloud storage drive on the tablet...
Also, yes, the quoting part on the tablet is working for me too.
Fantastic!
Cute doggie!!!
I've been uploading from my desktop folders on PC using chrome. I can upload full size images from my desktop using IE and the forum software resizes them. But, if I use chrome, I have to manually resize the photo to 400x400 or smaller. Otherwise I just get a file failed to upload pop up in the corner of my screen.
My Ebay Store
Okay, different coin but also in my cloud storage. Posted via Chrome from my MacBook. The software wouldn't let me upload the same picture twice but this one is very similar. 5.9 MB and I have not resized it, and as far as I can tell it hasn't been resized at all.
Edited to add: Well, it is reduced to fit the page, but that is well in excess of a 400x400...and zooming in brings up the detail fine. Unlike PB where things were permanently resized and zooming would show the loss.
Very weird...but it does seem okay to me.

"The vaccines work,” Trump said, adding that the people who “get very sick and go to the hospital” are unvaccinated.
“Look, the results of the vaccine are very good, and if you do get it, it’s a very minor form,” Trump continued. “People aren’t dying when they take the vaccine.”

Finally.....boom! Straight from iPhone photo library...awesome.
