It drives me around the bend when the Mint ships SmartPost (when you absolutely, positively don't care when it gets there.)
Why not just send by the USPS?
Don't get me started on their UPS shipping of gold coins...

    Agreed.

    The irony is, FedEx delivers my Mint shipments to a local post office for -- you guessed it -- final delivery by USPS.

    Successful BST transactions with forum members thebigeng, SPalladino, Zoidmeister, jacrispies, coin22lover, coinsarefun, jwitten, CommemKing.

    My last shipment from the Mint was so poorly packaged that I made the clerk watch me open it to be sure the contents were all there.

    Gone but not forgotten: IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Ricko, Big Moose, Cardinal, CoinsAreFun.

    Yeah. The Mint could help the struggling USPS out with its business, after all they are both government agencies, but I suppose that makes entirely too much sense. That or FedEx has made "political contributions" to the powers that be.
