What's an 1882-O AU55 DMPL worth?

  It won't be in a PCGS holder. They haven't been willing to give circulated Morgans the DMPL designation.

  Is it certified as such? PCGS CoinFacts does not have any circulated PL or DMPL...NGC supposedly does in AU58PL.

  seems to me an AU DMPL will be lacking in eye appeal with hairlines and marks made more prominent due to the reflectivity. Any pics of the coin in question?

  I'll agree with that....I have a PCGS MS-63 DMPL that looks like scratched up road kill!!

  NGC does PL on au and ms gold coins and some silver ones PCGS does not. It would be an interesting market move by the standard in the coin industry.
