I'm finding "Collector's Corner" almost useless now.

Jeez, is there ANY way they could get MORE Heritage "Bid Now" listings?

Try to find something FOR SALE and it can be a chore.

Trying the WORLD coins is nothing but a catalog.

Or so it seems.

What I find more annoying are the coins that have been sold that are STILL listed on collectors.com.

Or, the same coin popping up multiple times, (sometimes with different prices), because it's listed on a dealer website, eBay, collector's corner, etc., etc......

I tell the owner and usually they thank me and take it down.

There are an awful lot of incorrectly categorized coins, too. Search on an 1878 Seated dime, and several Morgan Dollars pop right up.

sounds like they need to clean the forum up and redo the site totally

If a seller reduces the price of a coin it shows up twice, with both prices. And yes, sold coins linger there way too long. But I still appreciate being able to see so many listings in one place.

I've also noticed when I sort for newly listed coins, I don't actually get newly listed coins image

There are several problems with it. For example, there are a list of sellers to sort by.

    1) There is no "Select All", so I have to click each seller I want to include in my search one at a time. The page refreshes after each selection. (I want to exclude eBay since I already have alerts for those.

    2) When you try to save a large search, it crashes.

    3) You cannot use multiple keywords like you can on eBay.

As a dealer Ive not utilized Collectors Corner enough. I may in the next week or two start imaging and posting a few pieces.

I have only 3 or so on there now and make it a point to segregate that inventory.

I still don't understand why it's not called "dealer's corner" 'cause that's what it is.

LOL. I'm not sure why Collector's Universe is not called Dealer's Universe 'cause that's what it is.

LOL. That last comment might seem a teensy bit snarky, but there's definitely some truth to it.

I would guesstimate 80% of revenue is from dealer's or wholesalers and 20% is from collectors. Maybe I'm wrong

I wouldn't bet against you on that one.

+1 I tried to buy a coin about 6 months back; but they told me it had been sold. It was still up a month later, so I tried again---but they again said it was sold. It stayed listed for another couple months. I don't even go there anymore.

I would guess that revenue from dealers is closer to 95%.

I tried Collectors Corner for a while, and the fellow who manages it Mike Brandow is really a great guy. But I found listing took too long, occasionally nice collectors would buy. At $100 a month I couldn't justify the cost with it being cumbersome for me.
