With the slow turnaround times and 12 new graders, how are the grades coming back?

I'm getting ready to do a submission and I read here the complaints about the slow turnaround times and the addition of 12 new graders.

I'm wondering about how the grades are coming back, especially with the new graders?

For those who have submitted recently, are you getting better/worse grades back or are they what you expected?

Still waiting on mine. News to follow. Conventional wisdom says less experienced graders are generally conservative. I imagine they chain the new guys to the modern and bulk desk for quite a while before turning them loose on the rare classic stuff.

Agree that the grades were rather conservative. But most of my "misses" were not big or expensive misses and most were world coins. There is a saying that anyone can under-grade a coin....it takes an expert to accurately grade. So, maybe it will normalize. I'm for more conservative grading across the board anyway....But I'm also for consistency.

On my last submission everything was 1 point low. The problem is the stuff isn't worth a resubmission.

As I stated elsewhere, I cracked out some nice Rattlers and they came back 1 point lower and one went genuine problem!!!! Gradeflation cries abound from all those who never submit. In the real world, tougher than ever.

No real surprises; I had some better date Morgans that needed 58 for any hope of being ahead on the submissions. The 55 grades though CAC'd. At NGC I would have gotten at least a few upgrades. But everything has been in slow motion, usps priority shipping, grading at PCGS, sales, and opportunities for real business. Hopefully next week the reset button will get pushed with improvements for optimism's sake. It feels a little like Chinese water torture, and I have the utmost respect for Confucius.

I sent two in to cross at grade, NGC and CAC. While one did cross, I also got my first DNC.
