Submission question

Hi, I have a coin that I purchased at the Child's sale. It is still in the plastic flip with Child's collection listed on it. Will PCGS add the designation "Child's collection" to the slab if I send it in for grading? I have not yet had PCGS grade anything but the day keeps creeping closer.

Thanks, Bob

No. I believe you have to have a complete set to have a pedigree.

Is the coin plated in the catalog?

You have the provenance of the Child's coin ? ( Auction lot, date of auction,
and the catalog showed the coin to its fullest advantage ? )

Then by all means forward this information in hard copy along with the submission
form to PCGS - and the chances are excellent you will get the previous pedigree
    on the label.

This has no bearing on your set getting YOUR PEDIGREE on the label.
You must be 90% complete in the collection AND be in the top
Five Sets of the series you are collecting and requesting your pedigree be
    listed on the label.

That's for your own pedigree IIRC.

    Bingo.

Everything above is solid info from what I have seen on these boards since I have been on.

Separate the 2 things out (OP didn't get into the confusion and only asked about the "Child's Collection" pedigree...it was a subsequent poster who muddied them, most likely by accident) and there should be no issue.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
