Anyone have a pic of 1943/2 Jefferson?

I've searched in vain for a picture of this....just wanted to see what the 3/2 digit looks like. Thanks.

    Hi
Here's one and here's another from my personal collection. I hope this helps.

    Hi Placid
That is a super nice 43/2. Looks like it would grade an easy 66. Is the reverse just as colorful? Full steps?

I just went to heritage and got the picture.
It was sold as a ngc ms-68 I didn't notice if it was fs or not.

Any estimates on how many exist?

NGC has graded 129 Pcgs 295.

Leo's pics are clearer I think, but who can resist the opportunity to show off!

Here is one from my set.

Here is an extra that I have for sale, which is about the nicest 64 you will ever see!

    Mintage is unknown.

    Ken!
You showed up my coin! I just spent the last 30 minutes checking out the strong tripling
on the reverse of your MS64. I didn't know the tripling could be that great. Although my coin
is a PCGS66 5.75 steps, the spread of the letters doesn't come close to your coin, I've been duped. Back to the drawing board with this one. image

    Hey Leo,

I wish it were true, but I think it is just the scan image

When looking at the coin (not the scan), the doubling on the obverse appears
stronger than the tripling on the reverse. It is, however, a nice 6-step coin and
very, very clean for an MS64 grade!

    Good Morning Ken
It's good to know there are some people here on these forums are early to bed and early to rise.
Here's a blown-up pic of your 43/2 and I see wide separation of the letters in UNITED and the O
in Mont. and many others. A scanner will do that. Someone on this forum was asking for prices on this date not to long ago.
And I thought your coin looked like it had 6 steps. Can I add it to the C-S6JC I have going in another thread? Also your set 43/2, from your pic, the fields look prooflike.

    Leo,

Unfortunately, for the forseeable future, it is "Late to bed and early to rise" for me until I get
    this ongoing work project done!

I did look at the coin again after your last post, and the major tripling is definately just in the
    scan.

I don't know what you mean by "C-S6JC" (maybe I got up too early), but anything I can do to help!

Can someone show me a blown up pic of the 3/2 itself? I just can't see it. Maybe it's these glasses?

The first link in Leo's first post above shows the 3/2 overdate most clearly.

What you are looking for is the horizontal base of the 2 inside the lower loop
of the 3. You can also see a trace of the upright of the 2 inside of the 3.

    Hope that helps!

    Ken

    ncws,
There are some pics earlier in this thread.

    Ken,
That's a sigh of relief. For awhile there I was stumped with what to do with my 1100 dollar
coin. Your scan made that coin look like the 1939DDR.
