Finally! I've been looking for this card for 3 years...

paleocardspaleocards Posts: 942 ✭✭✭✭
I've been after a centered "5" for the past three years but either I haven't had the funds when one appeared or one didn't show up when I had the $$. Finally got this one from PWCC's most recent auction. Sure didn't get a bargain, but I love its centering and the way it hits my eye. Very pleased to add this iconic card to my collection.

Congratulations! As Tom Petty says, the waiting is the hardest part. It does make it that much sweeter though. Great card!

    Wow!

    Congratulations.

I'm a fan of the day glow yellow backgrounds - you can also find them on some 52Ts.

Anyone would be proud to have it in their collection.

Don't have any cards but as a game collector - have his game - it's one of my favorite.

I watched this particular auction, as the Johnson T206 is one of my all time favorite cards. I, too, was amazed at the centering and color of this card. CONGRATS!!

Thanks for all of the kind words, guys, I really appreciate it. The one downside of buying this card is that it basically blew-up my National budget so for the first time in seven years I won't be going. Sorry that I won't be seeing you but if you're going to AC I hope you have a great time. And make sure you post scans of your newly-purchased cards when you get back!

I decided not to make the AC trip Andy.

I will definitely be making the next one at Chicago - see you there! image

And again, congratulations on a beauty of a card buddy.
