Old letter in 3rd Edition Overton

I recently purchased a used 3rd Edition Early Half Dollar Die Varieties by Overton. I found an old letter inside dated 10/15/1991. The letter is addressed to Howard, but I can't read the signature. Other than that, the book is pretty much untouched. Thought it was pretty cool and figured I would share.

Cool letter and I use the same method of the relationship between the "I" and the "T".

First name seems to start with an M and the last name with an E. There's a t at the end of the last name. I'd guess the first name is Mark.

Since the OP got the book in about-new condition, Howard must not have taken the advice and used it much.
