Great coin! I would have had a hard time parting with it, even if I did not collect Morgans!

I'm still learning a lot about grading, and will take this opportunity to ask about what the straight

line are on the reverse around the eagle.

i promise i didnt look up any more info for this cent since i got it back.

i will let you tell me wots wot. image

    gotta have fun.

i will say, i recognize seeing that cud in my search when grades came back but had a different image in my mind until i saw it in-hand again.

the group went to pcgs super fast after purchase. didnt image them before they went. a minor mistake.

Did JTLEE ever send the other coin to NGC?

It just seems a total waste of money sending it back in. It looks totally cleaned from your images and now the world's greatest graders, 3 of them, and a finalizer have called it as such.

Move on and your next 4 coins are on deck. Remember, buying raw coins, if you are not as skilled as a grader, will cost you a fortune at the end of the day. (Especially buying high end coins.)

So one would think a resubmit might be a waste of money. Fwiw I cracked out a very clean looking PCGS MS64 $10 Eagle a few years back as I thought it was a no brainer MS65. It then came back "altered surfaces" from both PCGS and NGC. That's when I was totally dejected and just gave up on it. Coin was shipped off to a major auction where the house sent it back in a 3rd time....and they turned it into an MS66 first shot! So much for being consistent from submission to submission. An $800 "loss" turned into a $2500 profit. You just never know what's cooking.

I have not resubmitted the 1883-CC yet. I have it put aside for now. I have not given up on it. When I feel the time is right to resubmit, I will. It more than likely will not be me who resubmits it, but rather another party on my behalf.

Those are die polish lines, very heavy ones at that.

Nice job on the submission Lance. Tough break on the 1925 SLQ. I wish you the best on future submissions.

I have not looked at your coin for a month now and just did. It is so cleaned that even if David Hall submitted it, it would not have a chance. Time to move on.
