30 years ago, PCGS introduced the concept of third party grading to the rare coin market. PCGS launched its authentication and grading service with what is now referred to as the "Old Green Holder" or simply, "OGH".
To celebrate our 30th anniversary, PCGS is now offering Collectors Club members the chance to relive the fabled look of the retro "OGH" label, but with all the added security and clarity of the modern PCGS holder.
As an added bonus, exclusively from April 1st to June 30th, 2016, Collectors Club members can receive these retro labels at retro prices:
Only $4 for the PCGS Retro OGH Label
Only $9 for Secure PCGS Retro OGH Label
Secure includes professional TrueView Photography for each coin submitted.
These special rates apply to any coin, in any quantity, on unlimited submissions.
It will be interesting to see if our host posts the final sales report for these retro labels after the end of the year. I get the sense that it will not match the total revenues from the prior quarterly specials during 2015.
The best of all time was the crossover deal. Pay only 10 bucks if it does not cross at any service level.
Wish they'd bring that back again
PCGS did well with my submission
I agree, they should bring back the real quarterly specials where you get crossovers for cheap, free TruViews or submit 4 pay for 3. I don't feel that a "special" should cost more for a different color paper inside the holder...otherwise what is so special about it?

I think it's been brought back permanently as a Long Beach show grading special. Unfortunately, it doesn't include transportation to the Long Beach show.

A useful quarterly special would be one that doesn't require a separate submission/return shipping to use. Yay, I get to spend an extra $38 ($8 Submission fee + $30 return shipping) to use a 5-for-the-price-of-4 grading special! ($20 value).

Yeah, that type of thing is what have largely kept me from using many of the quarterly specials.
I appreciate that PCGS does these. I know that not every one of them will fit me and that they aren't meant to fit 100% of the people 100% of the time. I'm ok with all that.
Love some of the truview ones. Love some of the crossover specials. Like some of the combo (buy 4 get 5th one free ) type of specials.
I really can't see myself doing the ones that end up paying full return prices for a single coin though, due to the fees like you mentioned.....

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
