  Very cool. They either swapped out the reverse die soon after, or the obverse die was so soft that it didn't leave much of an impression on the reverse die.

  That's an outstanding one! I have a picture of a proof nearly as strong as that in my abraded die book along with an amazing Roosie and some Buffs. IMO there should be a much stronger collector base for this type of stuff.

  I believe that nickel is the strongest known die clash on a US coin. It is a fantastic die clash and they don't come up for sale very often.
