Resubmission success with no crack out?

I've seen some old threads on this, but nothing recent...

Has anyone had recent success getting a bump in grade on a PSA resubmission? I don't want to crack out the cards, because I love these particular cards and I'd be crushed if the cards were damaged on an attempt to crack them out. I also wouldn't want to run the risk of a lower grade by a raw submission (which I've heard doesn't happen with resubmits). To be clear, the cards are vintage cards, currently in PSA slabs.

Thanks.

Right now I have a submission of 15 cards for review, we'll see what happens. Crossing my fingers.

My last batch of reviews was 0/15. Mostly 9s hoping to bump to 10s. It is tough sledding, even for worthy cards.

A couple months ago I sent in 3 Rickey Henderson rookies PSA 9 for review hoping for a bump on all three.(High expectations)

In the last year...I submitted 13 PSA cards for review. I batted .077 (1 for 13)...but it was a big hit (knocked it out of the ballpark). Reggie Jackson rookie bumped from an 8.5 to a 9!

6 cards reviewed. Got a .5 bump on one. It was unfortunately the least valuable.

I, I, I thought someone wound up hitting on a '69 or '70 Nolan Ryan 10 a few months ago?

From my recollection, they got bumped on a '71 too?

    Could be wrong.

Several years ago but my best bump was a 1971 Claude Raymond that bumped from an 8 to a 9. That was when the '71 registry was on fire. Believe it or not, that card was valued at what a PSA 9 Reggie RC was worth at the time!

My best review sub I bumped 6 PSA 9 75 minis to PSA 10 (out of 34 cards) a couple of years ago.

I would say that is an outstanding bump rate...considering how vulnerable those 75s are with the colored border...10s are very difficult to achieve.

I just had poppage on my 15 card renewal voucher.

Looks like 4 out of 15 bumped, but all by a half grade (they were all straight grades to start, so the 8.5's are the bumps).

I just had poppage on my 15 card renewel voucher as well. I had 2 out of 15 bump to 10's. It took me 6 months to collect the best Ripkens that I could find. So it looks like try again lol. Overall I'm happy and think they are well deserved.

    Mike,

Looks like you had some great hits as well. That must have been a real nice 73 Schmidt.

I think 8.5 was probably right for the Schmidt. I thought there were a couple of 9's in this batch, particularly the Aarons, but happy that the Schmidt bumped for sure.
