Trip to China

I will be going on a three week business trip to Harbin, China, in June and July of this year. During that time, I would like to look around for some coins. I usually don't buy that much foreign stuff, but am open to suggestions. I realize that China is the source for a huge amount of counterfeits, fake slabs, etc. Also, if I bought something, would getting through customs be an issue? What would be a good plan for looking at and buying some coins during my off hours? I posted on the U.S. forum, but thought that someone "over here" might have a better idea.

to buy an authentic coin in China is possible.....as long as you know your coins and can tell the difference between a fake and the real thing.
Otherwise, and that is for Canadian coins, It is illegal to possess forged coins as long as the original and authentic coin is still legal tender. Most can be bought there for $2,50 in many places. If it is not in stock what you are looking for, they will get it. They will even have them in the metal the coins should be. for an extra cost.
A good plan for your off hours would be to keep away from fakes.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life
