PL 1965 canadian dime struck thru thread or?
Any collector interest in these?
Is this an imprint of cloth thread or hair?
Tough to get a good image shooting thru the celo.mint packaging.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
Seriously it looks like lint which is a pretty common strike through or struck in item.

And another question re:struck thru thread.
Seems to me that varieties such as this are a one time happening and would not occur on the next coin being struck as the object or thread would be destroyed.
Assuming the above isn't it incorrect to describe these as varieties when the condition
only occurs once?
I thought that a variety designation referred to a condition where there are a number of coins struck that exhibit the same error.

This type of error is more so seen on proof or specimen presentation pieces then typical business strikes issued for commerce.
It's not a mint error type which adds any great value since it's not dramatic or mechanical.
