Even on well-worn coins like this, you can see noticeably more depth between where the devices and the fields meet in contrast to the highest points of the coin. This coin shows a lot of protected areas around the devices and this is a good indicator of High relief. With Uncirculated coins, you are looking for significantly more depth from the highest points on the rims to the lowest points in the fields, than you would otherwise see in a standard strike.

Not a high relief example. It might have been before it circulated and wore down to its present state. Wouldn't you rather have an example that shows all the details in.....high relief? We have people at the top of the Registry in the Jefferson nickel series with coins that have missing details........what's up with that besides their GPA's?

I have NO idea about US dollars, except that they are silver, nicer than Canadian Silver dollars and are heavier.
why I posted this is simple. It is the first time that I saw it on Ebay posted in the title by a very reputable seller. I believe he is a member in this forum. certainly takes great pictures.
He had numerous auctions with the same content. The posted image sold for : USD 48, a rather steep price IMO. or am I not correct with that price.
as I said, Have no idea about USD, I am totally into Canadian coins.
The first two to come up are both 1921 Peace Dollars. They share the same coin number (7356). Though one is AU and the other MS, only the MS gets the designation. And that's more likely because of a complete strike with little loss of detail. ( Reasoned out through logic, and maybe not so ) … But it's as close as I could come up with a logical answer for you.
Maybe get Roger Burdette's book "From Mine to Mint". (A plug for RWB)
It's chock full of an immense amount of information about manufacture.

EMRC, that limb you went out on.... it just broke. I hope it was not too high up.

Well, there are Registry set categories for certified ultra worn coins. This may be the reason behind your opinion of a steep price.
