You may wish to spend a moment or two seeking out and looking at vintage beer steins that may be on display there before you leave.

What takes you to Hamburg by the way? Sounds like an adventure.

2004A 10 Euro silver proof. That's Oskar Schlemmer's "Der Mensch" logo or identity mark, used by the Bauhaus school of art and design in the early 20th century. It was re-purposed in the late 1970s by the eponymously-named proto-punk/gothic rock band "Bauhaus". Which is why it's in my box of 20, alongside dawn of coinage electrum and silver pieces, 19th century US gold, and pop-top SCDs. image

PBRat - is that the Heritage monster piece we flagged a while back? Did you get it? If so, that's one amazing coin.

I think you mean this one ... HA auction ... and, no, it's not it. Circumstances had me sitting on the sidelines for much of last year and the beginning of this one. But, things have cleared up, and I'm back with a vengeance.

Zohar my friend, you DO NOT WANT to be bidding on the same coin with Paul (PBRat). I remember several years ago, a truly unfortunate comment by someone (whose username escapes me now) who told him that his set was a grouping of super grade 20th century coins and not a collection, and how wrong this guy was. Maybe it worked as an incentive for Paul ,who started adding truly rare and condition rarity pieces from thr 17th, 18th and 19th century and look at him now (among others what he just posted!).

Boosibiri didn't specify current holdings, right?

Boosibiri, Hamburg, is the city with zee most beautiful girls that yours truly has ever seen, while I was still in my mid-20s, so if you're young rich and famous..., but as a CFO etc, you can't be that young, so at least you fullfill THE most important requirement among the three..... image

You must have been at the Reeperbahn. I'm 33 so still young enough but happily married with a little boy. Funny, we were taking the bus through the Reeperbahn (red light district) and my 4 year olds face was priceless looking at the signs.

The area is actually quite cool and while it has some seedy qualities, the bars and restaurants are great and the St. Pauli's FC matches are supposedly a unique experience.
