Draped Bust Dollar - Real or Fake?

Hi folks,

This Bust Dollar has clearly been messed with (cleaned, plugged, scratched, etc) but I wanted your opinions on whether you think it is in fact genuine:

It is from ebay:

Thanks for your time and opinions.

Well, the seller pretty much lays it on the line.

    Buyer decides and bids accordingly.

Nothing wrong with this listing, in my opinion.

Looks real to me, It would be nice to see the edge however. The S and the 9 are obviously fake.

The court jester does not play, but gently pulls the strings…

Wow. What a train wreck. Throw in rim damage, graffiti, tooling on top of cleaned, plugged and scratched. Looks genuine, though. BB-166.

Genuine yet wow- just as the seller stated.

May have gone for a bit too much, yet a neat coin for what it is (and, for what it isn't).

Probably genuine and mutilated as the seller described.

Not sure what you're asking. Those die lines are common to the die marriage. But I'm hardly an expert.

    When in doubt, don't.

A lot of meat on that coin, considering what it sold for. Lots of issues, sure, but nice detail in spite of all that.

It has major problems, to be sure, but at $500, a coin that someone who cannot afford a $1000 coin can afford. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
