Question: 1878 S Morgan Long Neck or Nock?

One of the members at our recent coin club meeting had an 1878 S Morgan that was described as a "Long Neck" variety. I looked in my copy of "Coin World" and it showed a "Long Nock" variety which I assume was a misprint OR the club member had it wrong.

So, my question is, which is it AND what is it, as I looked in a couple of places, including the VAM book, and I don't see it described or illustrated. I didn't compare the club members coin to another Morgan, but couldn't really see anything dramatic about the reverse Eagle design. I'm probably being very stupid about this, so please forgive and dumb old coin collector!

Thank you! I wonder why the "nock" variety didn't appear in my large VAM book? Guess a guy's better off to just go to the on-line version.
One of the coin club guys thought he could describe the difference in the eagles neck and the reason for the "long Neck" description. I wasn't seeing it, but not one to try to show anyone up, I just stayed quiet thinking I'd look it up in my VAM book.

Here's a picture that compares some of the 1878 reverses. The "long nock" (B1 hub) is the third from left. The "short nock" (B2 hub) is on the right.

This is from the 1878-P attribution page on VAMWorld. Hub differences are the same for all mints. Only for San Francisco are the long nock (B1) reverses always rare.
