I imagine silver and gold bullion is going to be hot given the recent downward tick of the stock market and the uptick of metals.

Where are all the silver dollars on the bst? 15 months ago I parked 10 ea peace @ $20 delivered, a good price then, now, silver dollars FS on the bst do not exist.

Because silver falls further, that's why.

Hard to believe bullion will do well at FUN.

If I were there I'd be picking through type coins and using my suave and charismatic personality to talk dealers out of coins for my grandchildren's TYPE SETS. Or, at the rate of fall in commodities over the past years, gold, or sliver …. as low as I can go until a guy says "NO". image

If people thought silver would be falling further, wouldn't they want to sell now? So shouldn't the BST have lots of silver for sale?

Some pretty good deals in the auction last night!

I would characterize the market as weak and getting weaker, unless the material is truly scarce. Who wooda thunk it!

Some moderns are doing very nicely. My customer's 1966 Kennedy Half Dollar just hammered at $16,450.00. Try explaining that to the die hard classic coin collectors!

I was curious how well folks that follow High end barber halves thought shiremans did. I do not follow high end barber halves but prices seemed a bit off IMO, with the exception of a few. I tossed in a bid on one of the keydates, but got beat out with a tied floor bidder. It wasn't a must have coin for me and actually too high of a grade that I wanted of that date anyhow, so I passed bidding any higher.
